Birmingham City took a point from Deepdale but clearly deserved more.
The simplest of Sam Gallagher’s six in a Blues shirt cancelled out Ben Davies’ first half opener.
Indeed the 22-year-old might have put the visitors ahead even before the Preston defender latched on to Marc Roberts’ error.
But all in all it was another positive display for Steve Cotterill’s men.
