Roy Keane regards England’s interim manager Gareth Southgate as ‘one of the good guys’ in football, even if hasn’t forgotten his challenge in the 1995 FA Cup semi-final.
‘I like Gareth,’ said Keane yesterday. ‘I remember he tried to break my leg in the Cup semi-final. Luckily, I got out of the way. Besides that, I try not to hold that against him.’
Keane and Southgate (right) have worked for ITV and their paths have crossed regularly at games.
