Hate crime investigation launched after Gwynedd shopkeeper allegedly barred blind man and his dog



A shopkeeper is under investigation for an alleged hate crime after a blind man claimed he told him to leave his store after he walked in with his guide dog.
Robert North, who owns Fairbourne Mini Mart on Beach Road, is alleged to have told Andy Terry, 62, and his guide dog, Flame, to vacate his store after they entered to shelter from the rain.
Mr Terry, from Stoke-on-Trent, was staying in the area with his sister for a week when the incident is said to have occurred on July 28.
He claims he was approached by Mr North within minutes of entering the store and told to leave.
