'Hard Brexit' to cost UK economy £66 billion a year in tax revenue
 

LEAVING the European single market could cost the UK economy £66 billion a year in tax revenue, according to Treasury figures.
The assessment of the true cost of a so-called “hard Brexit” was described as “horrific” yesterday by those who want to keep a close relationship with the world’s biggest trading bloc.
The Cabinet paper predicting an annual £66billion hit to the UK economy echoes the warning published by the Treasury under George Osborne before the EU referendum.
He claimed then that every household could be £4300 a year worse off under Brexit.
