Happy Mondays play at Derby Arena - check out our photos from the gig!



Alternative rock band Happy Mondays attracted thousands last night at a one off gig at Derby Arena.
The band, which formed in Salford in 1980, were supported by Indie rock group The Bluetones and Britpop legends Cast. The gig, which has been compared to a "mini-festival" in the arena, was put on by Burton Albion defender, and former Derby County captain, Shaun Barker.
Last year, Happy Mondays celebrated the 25th anniversary of the release of their album Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches. The band was one of the most influential bands to come out of the UK in the early 1990s.
