Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda reveals he has shingles and will be quarantined from his infant son



Lin-Manuel Miranda thought he had a migraine. It turns out the Broadway star really had shingles.
Miranda tweeted on Thursday that his 'migraine' had been diagnosed as the painful virus, saying he it caught early but would have to be quarantined from his eight-week-old son.
One in three Americans develop shingles, which strikes when the chickenpox virus becomes reactivated after lying dormant in the nerves for years.
Miranda will have to be quarantined from his son, Francisco, until the hallmark shingles rash heals so that he does not pass the virus to the vulnerable boy for life.
