Haiti: Three days’ mourning after storm



HAITIAN President Jocelerme Privert declared three days of national mourning yesterday as the extent of the Hurricane Matthew disaster became more apparent.
Aid shipments began to arrive for the 350,000 people the government said were in need, with tens of thousands of homes destroyed by the savage 145mph storm.
The final death toll was still unknown but feared to exceed 900. Concern was growing over an increase in cholera cases following widespread flooding.
