Gun-toting French soldiers stop and search drivers leaving Calais
 

The gun-toting soldiers have been quizzing drivers, asking about the nature of their journey.
The step-up in security comes amid terror fears and rumours that the jungle camp may be about to be demolished.
According to a Calais government official, bulldozers will be brought in by the end of the month and could begin demolition work as early as Monday.
The imminent closure of the camp, which President Francois Hollande has insisted will be complete by the end of the year, may lead to migrants making last ditch attempts to sneak into England.
