Grimsby Town fan banned from matches after running onto pitch at Notts County

A visiting fan who ran onto the Meadow Lane playing area was today banned from attending any senior football matches for three years.
The order was imposed by magistrates in Nottingham who also imposed a £142 fine on Barry Prest, 38, of Bradford Avenue, Cleethorpes.
He admitted going onto the playing area on September 3 when Notts County played Grimsby Town.
Devon Broome, mitigating, applied for Prest to be excused the order. He had never been in trouble before and took his children to home matches, she said.
