Grimsby Town 1-0 Newport County REACTION: Hurst delighted as Mariners climb table



PAUL Hurst insists Grimsby Town deserved their win over Newport last night – even if he wasn't entirely convinced by the penalty that saw them earn it.
The Mariners moved up to sixth in the table with a 1-0 win over struggling County thanks to Omar Bogle's 88th-minute penalty, which was awarded after Tom Bolarinwa had been hauled down in the box as Town pressed for a winner.
The result was Hurst's side's second consecutive 1-0 verdict and one that the boss thought was fully deserved.
