PADRAIG Amond came back to haunt Grimsby Town as his first-half brace did the damage for Hartlepool United this afternoon.
The Irishman – top-scorer last season as the Mariners won promotion back to the Football League – struck twice in the first-half with Pools' top-scorer Nathan Thomas adding a third as Town's record of back-to-back wins - and clean sheets, went up in smoke amid a largely poor display at Blundell Park.
