Grimsby Town 0-1 Leicester City Under-23s REPORT: Foxes win at a sparse Blundell Park



EVEN a gutsy display in the face of adversity wasn't enough to prevent Grimsby Town from crashing out of the EFL Trophy.
Following a goalless – if eventful – opening 45 minutes at Blundell Park last night, it was Leicester City Under-23s who earned a 1-0 victory.
Coupled with the result at Bramall Lane, where Walsall defeated Sheffield United 2-1, it means next month's clash against the Blades will be the Mariners' last involvement in the competition this season.
Kairo Mitchell netted a 64th minute winner for the Foxes, as the hosts had to play 70-plus minutes with ten-men.
