Grimsby man, 50, plunges 500ft to his death after camping trip in Lake District



A man, 50, believed to be from Grimsby, has died after plunging nearly 500ft from a secret cave in the Lake District.
The man had planned on spending the night with a group of eight friends in the Priest's Hole, a shallow overhang, high on Dove Crag, near Glenridding.
The group were all from Grimsby.
A coast guard rescue helicopter, several mountain rescue teams, dog handlers and mine experts were all called out to the incident on Saturday night.
