Greville Janner: latest abuse inquiry setback threatens alleged victims' trust, says lawyer



A solicitor representing people who claim Greville Janner sexually abused them fears their trust in an official inquiry into the allegations has been damaged by the suspension of a senior member of its legal team.
Peter Garsden spoke after the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) confirmed it has suspended its senior counsel, Ben Emmerson QC.
Mr Emmerson's role in the inquiry was to lead the questioning of public authorities on their handling of a range of historical abuse allegations.
