Green light for £1.3million heritage centre at Derwenthaugh Park in Gateshead
 

Approval has been granted for a heritage centre which will promote the history and natural assets of a North East valley.
Groundwork North East & Cumbria has been given planning permission by Gateshead councillors for a £1.3million centre as part of the Land of Oak & Iron project in the Derwent Valley.
The Heritage Centre, which will be at Derwenthaugh Park at Winlaton Mill, is expected to be completed in 2018.
