Greater Lincolnshire devolution deal overcomes hurdle to move a step closer



The multi-million-pound Greater Lincolnshire devolution deal has moved a step closer after East Lindsey District councillors pledge their definitive support for the creation of a combined authority.
Councillors at tonight's East Lindsey District Council's (ELDC) meeting had the power to shelve the long-standing idea of devolution for Lincolnshire for good, with a vote for rejection.
But when it came to the all-important vote, a majority of 29 councillors for, versus 15 against, with four abstentions, saw the motion carried at Tedder Hall.
