Grandad devastated after tortoises disappear from his garden
 

A grandad is devastated after his two pet tortoises disappeared from the garden.
George Jordan, said he woke up this morning to find the cage to his two Hermmann tortoises open and their beds empty.
The 68-year-old who named one tortoise after himself and the other Peter, after his brother who died four years ago, said he hopes they are “not in a bad place”.
The retired roofer, from Everton, said: “I saw their hutch open and their little sheds that they sleep in had been pulled out and were empty.
