GPs are missing basic signs of cancer



Around a fifth of bowel cancer patients diagnosed in A&E had ‘red flag’ symptoms that were missed by medics.
New research shows many patients who visited their doctor repeatedly in the 12 months prior to being told they had cancer missed opportunities to pick up the disease.
There’s a diplomatic row brewing between Britain and Canada Experts from University College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine examined National Cancer Registry data that was linked to GP data for 1,606 patients across more than 200 GP practices.
