Government offers to help Birmingham's Commonwealth Games bid

The Government will help Birmingham's 2026 Commonwealth Games bid.
Culture Secretary Karen Bradley issued the offer at the Conservative conference, in Birmingham's ICC.
She also said that the Government would support "any other interested cities" that want to host the games.
Liverpool is also considering a bid. However, Birmingham was the only city she mentioned by name.
Mrs Bradley spoke about hopes that Team England would win medals in the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia
and "take on the Aussies in their own back yard."
