Google has a secret plan to bring free Wi-Fi to the world – here’s how



Google has quietly come up with a plan to bring free, reliable Wi-Fi to the world – in partnership with transport companies and other big venues.
It’s based on its Google Station initiative in India – free Wi-Fi offered in stations in partnership with RailTel and Indian Railways.
Google says 15,000 people go online for the first time every day via Google Station – and it’s being used by 3.5 million people every month.
Now Google hopes to expand the service around the world – via cafes, shopping centres, transport station and other public venues.
