Good Samaritan who stepped in to stop pair arguing has part of ear torn off



A man who intervened after coming across a pair arguing in a Grimsby street had part of his ear torn off.
The incident happened in Freeman Street at lunchtime on Thursday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the altercation, which happened at 12.30pm.
The 40-year-old victim was walking along Freeman Street when he came across the man and woman arguing. As the victim intervened, he was seriously assaulted.
Officers investigating the assault now need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault.
