Good Hope Hospital slammed by Tamworth mum for failing to spot meningitis in her baby



AN ANGRY mum has described her '48 hours of hell' after medics missed vital signs that her 11-month-old baby had contracted meningitis.
Rachel Collins, aged 32, of Liberty Road, Tamworth, has slammed Good Hope Hospital for failing to spot that her son, Freddie, had contracted viral meningitis – despite showing nine out of the 10 key symptoms.
"We were fighting for his life," said Rachel. "We kept telling them over and over that something wasn't right but they didn't believe me."
