A giant rodent the size of a labrador is living wild in a Rutland village.
The 18-month-old South American Capybara was spotted by a stream in Empingham, on the shores of Rutland Water, about two weeks ago.
It's thought a territorial battle with his brother combined with a lust for love drove the creature to break out of his enclosure at his owner's Wymondham, Leicestershire home several miles away.
The animal's owner, Vernon Moore, is currently trying to lure the wayward creature into a cage baited with food.
