Getting married on Valentine's Day can doom your marriage: Study finds couples who tie the knot on 'gimmick' dates are at higher risk of divorce

Valentine's Day is a time when people traditionally show feelings of love and affection, so it is no surprise that many choose it for their wedding date.
However, a new study has found getting married on gimmick or special-number dates are 18 to 36 percent more likely to end in divorce than those on ordinary dates.
These couples were found to have common traits, which suggests it's not the date itself that increases divorce rates, but rather what the choice of date reveals about the couple.
