German paddleboarder rescued miles out to sea after ‘trying to cross Channel’
 

 
A German tourist was picked up seven miles off the UK coastline after trying to cross the Channel on a stand-up paddleboard, it has been claimed. 
It’s now less than one euro to the pound – cheers Brexit The man, who was wearing just a hat, fleece and shorts, is said to have told eyewitnesses that he had tried to cross the Channel.
However, the Home Office said he was already in the country and not an illegal immigrant.
He was spotted off the coast of Dover at dawn on Sunday.
