THE ANNUAL bull run takes place next week in Pamplona, Spain. By tradition, a thousand young men will see if they can outrun six very angry bulls through its narrow streets for a distance of 850 metres, or half a mile. Those competitors who can't run fast enough soon find themselves on the sharp end of half-a-ton of bovine fury.
A Pamplona-like mixture of bravado and risk-taking seems to have gripped the world’s equity markets this week, led by Wall Street.
