General Election 2015: Labour candidate rejects Tony Blair's £1,000 donation to help win battleground seat
 

ONE of Scottish Labour’s election candidates has rejected a £1,000 donation from Tony Blair to help with her fight an SNP-held Dundee East.
Councillor Lesley Brennan who is standing against SNP deputy leader Stewart Hosie said she was turning down the money.
Labour’s three-times election winning Prime Minister donated £1,000 to 106 battleground seats last week with just two months left before the vote.
But after criticism from the SNP, Brennan tweeted yesterday:
Received donation from Tony Blair. Instinct was to not accept. Discussed with team. Dundee East is not accepting the £1000.
