Gayle Newland: Sex attacker who posed as man wins appeal
 

A woman jailed for posing as a man to dupe a friend into having sex with her has had her conviction quashed at London's Court of Appeal.
Gayle Newland was jailed for eight years on 12 November after being convicted of three sexual assaults.
The 26-year-old, of Willaston, Cheshire, demanded her victim wore a blindfold when they met and used a prosthetic penis during the assaults.
She has been bailed and will now face a re-trial after the ruling.
