A soldier and his partner have become the first gay couple to get married on a British military base overseas. 
Preacher who called for gay men to be killed is now teaching in the UK Sergeant Alastair Smith, 36, married his partner Aaron Weston in Cyprus on the British forces territory in Dhekilia.
It’s the first gay marriage on a British military base overseas and believed to be one of the first ever on a UK army base.
They married on September 10 at the picturesque Fisherman’s Cove along the coastline.
