Gateshead car dealership fined for failing to declare car's previous owner was actually Europcar
 

A car buyer was told his new vehicle had ‘one previous owner’ - only to later find out that owner was an international hire firm.
The customer bought the car in January 2017 for about £10,000 from Peugeot’s Robins and Day dealership on Bensham Road, Gateshead, and was told at the time of sale that the car had one previous owner.
Within a matter of days he noticed a burning smell in the car and returned it to the dealership, only to be told the clutch needed to be replaced.
