Gary Neville insists the unforgiving Old Trafford dressing rooms 'made Cristiano Ronaldo into a man'

Gary Neville claims that Cristiano Ronaldo 'became a man' thanks to some tough dressing room treatment in the early stages of his Manchester United career.
The Old Trafford giants paid Sporting Lisbon £12million to sign the then 18-year-old in the summer of 2003, before selling him six years later to Real Madrid for a world record fee of £80million.
Along with Lionel Messi, Ronaldo is widely regarded now as the best player in the world, but Neville maintains he was a long way from that in those early days in the north-west of England.
