Gareth Southgate earning £500,000 to manage four England games
Gareth Southgate will be paid £500,000 to manage England’s next four games, according to reports.
The Times claim that the former Under-21s boss will be paid the same as Sam Allardyce’s £3 million-a-year salary for as long as he continues to oversee the senior side.
Southgate will manage England for their World Cup qualifiers against Malta, Slovenia and Scotland, as well as a friendly at home to Spain in November.
The £500,000 that Southgate is set to receive is the equivalent to his annual salary with the Under-21s.
