Future of Airbus A380 superjumbo looks bleak as production cut again



Airbus has cut production of its A380 superjumbo for the second time in a year - casting doubts over the plane's long term future.
Deliveries of the double-decker jet - whose wings are made at Broughton - will fall from 15 this year to 12 in 2018 and eight in 2019, Airbus said today.
The aerospace giant has not sold an A380 for two years and chief executive Tom Enders said that prospects of further sales of the A380 in the short-term were not "necessarily high".
The company said that production of the A380 continued to operate at a marginal loss.
