‘Future bright’ for Colne’s old health centre site



An announcement is imminent on the future of the former health centre site in Colne.
Pendle Council is about to launch a short consultation with local people – traders, shoppers and residents – on plans that involve knocking down the existing building in Market Street and building new shops with apartments above.
The old health centre was bought by the council after the NHS declared it surplus to its needs. The building is made up of concrete blocks and inside it has been described as a “warren”.
