Furniture shoppers go big or stay home in the sunshine
 

Homeowners are prepared to go shopping for sofas, but prefer to bask in the sunshine rather than trudge out for smaller furnishings, according to two British retailers.
DFS Furniture said full-year profit nearly doubled £64.5m from £33.3m, helped by demand for upmarket sofas.
However, Dunelm blamed the recent warm weather for a 3.8% fall in same-store sales in its first quarter.
The homeware retailer said "unusually warm weather" had hit footfall.
In contrast, DFS reported revenue up 7.1% to £756m and said orders for high-end sofas had risen by 35% over the year.
