Fundraising drive to pay for funeral of 'SAS veteran'

A fundraising campaign has been launched to pay for a proper funeral for a man who claimed he was an SAS veteran.
Matthew Bartlett was a familiar face in Tamworth town centre before he died aged 48 last month.
Because he was apparently penniless, he is likely to be given a pauper's funeral.
He used to spend a couple of days every week socialising in the Middle Entry shopping arcade with his dogs.
Several bunches of flowers have been left in the arcade in his memory.
