Fuel tanker crash on A69 involving four vehicles - what we know so far



The A69 is shut in both directions near Hexham following a crash involving a fuel tanker between Acomb and Haydon Bridge.
Here’s what we know so far:
• Four vehicles are believed to have crashed on the A69 between the B6531 and the A686.
• One of the vehicles was a fuel tanker.
• A ‘large amount’ of diesel has spilled onto the road, forcing the route to be shut in both directions.
• There are minor injuries from the crash. A police spokesman said: “We don’t believe there to be any serious injuries but some people were hurt.”
