FTSE LIVE: Footsie flat but pound continues to slide against the dollar and the euro as reality over hard Brexit kicks in for investors 



09:20: The Footsie was flat early on, but the pound has continued to fall in what has been a ferocious week's trading across the money markets so far. 
With over an hour gone, the FTSE 100 was down just 8 points at 7,065.1, having leapt 1.3 per cent - or 90.82 points - to 7074.34 - close to a record of 7,104 set in April last year.  
More concerning was that the pound continued its losing streak, as fears mounted over a so-called 'hard Brexit', while the FTSE 100 also nudged down.
