FTSE higher but Mitie shares dive
 

The UK market opened higher as shares in mining companies were buoyed by rising metal prices.
The benchmark FTSE 100 share index rose 16.61 points to 6,792.38.
A 2% rise in copper prices boosted the mining sector, with shares in Anglo American, Glencore and BHP Billiton all up by more than 2%.
In the FTSE 250, shares in outsourcing group Mitie dived 11% after it issued a profit warning and reported a £100m half-year loss.
