Freedom of Erewash for 'Freedom for Tooting' actor Robert Lindsay
 

When Derbyshire-born actor Robert Lindsay played one of his most famous characters, Wolfie Smith, he was renowned for his battle cry catchphrase "Freedom for Tooting".
Now, forty years on from starring in the sitcom Citizen Smith, the Ilkeston-raised thespian can now add the Freedom of Erewash to his bulging awards cabinet.
