Former soldier introduces himself to new neighbours - by rescuing them from burning flat
 

Former soldier Kevin Carr introduced himself to his new neighbours – by saving them from a house fire.
Jen Watson and her fiance Paul MacFarlane were asleep when the fire broke out and were trapped upstairs by the flames with Paul’s younger son Kieran, seven.
Only Kyal, nine, was able to make it out of the front door.
But Kevin, 32 – who only moved into the neighbourhood in Gorebridge, Midlothian, two months ago – came to the family’s rescue.
He grabbed a ladder from Paul’s work van to reach the bedroom window and lead Jen, Paul and Kieran to safety.
