Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel: This is the truth behind my Anfield exit in 2011
 

Babel was one of the most highly-rated young attackers in Europe when Liverpool stumped up £14m to sign him from Ajax in 2007.
The Dutch winger, who joined La Liga outfit Deportivo La Coruna recently, called time on his unspectacular Reds career in 2011 and moved to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.
Babel, who scored 22 goals in 146 appearances for Liverpool, now claims that clubs in the Premier League were interested in him but he says they were not of the quality he wanted.
