Former Lancaster Royal Grammar School history teacher Brian Salmon dies



A former history teacher at Lancaster Royal Grammar School has passed away, just weeks after one of his colleagues also died.
Brian Salmon spent more than 30 years at LRGS, working with John Lea, whose death we reported recently.
Educated at Reading School and at St John’s College, Oxford, Brian joined the staff at LRGS in 1963, retiring in 1994.
John Fidler, another former history teacher at LRGS, said: “He was an inspiring teacher, much admired by his pupils, who found his lessons a blend of solid scholarship and good humour.
