Former Jesmond Dene restaurant left devastated by fire



A derelict building which once housed a popular restaurant in Jesmond Dene has been left in ruins after being engulfed by flames.
The Fishermen’s Lodge – which was once considered one of the finest restaurants in the North East - closed its doors back in 2013.
Sitting on the banks of the River Ouseburn , the former favourite had served speciality seafood dishes as well as traditional British meals.
