Former Ilkeston Co-Op to be converted into flats and a gym
 

A department store which has been a fixture in a Derbyshire town for more than a century looks set to become an apartment building.
Plans have been submitted to transform the first and second floors of the Co-op building in South Street, Ilkeston, into almost 70 flats, complete with resident parking spaces and a gym.
The store was built in 1904 and continued trading until June 2015, when the food store closed just two years after the clothing and home store departments were shut down.
