Former Deddington teacher sentenced for historic child sex offences



A former headmaster has been sentenced to a custodial sentence imprisonment today after being convicted of a string of sexual offences against children in Oxfordshire.
William Duxbury appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court where he was sentenced to five years in prison.
He was convicted of 12 counts of indecency with a child and four counts of indecent assault at the same court last Friday.
The offences took place during in the 1980s while Mr Duxbury was a teacher at Deddington primary school.
