Former Boro footballer denies being part of alleged multi-million pound fraud
 

A former Boro footballer has denied playing a role in an alleged multi-million pound fraud involving apprentice schemes.
Former Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Newport County player Paul Sugrue, 55, of Cardiff, pleaded not guilty to fraud by false representation in connection with football-based apprenticeships.
Mark Aizlewood, 57, a defender won 39 caps for Wales, who played for various teams including Charlton Athletic, Leeds United and Bristol City denied the same allegation.
