Former Birmingham City player broke man's jaw after being racially abused



A former Blues football hopeful broke another man’s jaw with a single punch in a nightclub after being racially abused, a court heard.
University student Emmanuel Atugo, 21, escaped being jailed after a court heard he had been called ‘a black b******’ before landing the blow.
The former Birmingham City footballer, of Southorn Court, Leamington, was sentenced to eight months jail, suspended for 12 months, after pleading guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Warwick Crown Court heard the incident took place in the Altoria nightclub in Leamington town centre.
