For sale: One of Middlesbrough’s best-known and most ornate pubs
 

One of Middlesbrough’s best-known pubs is up for sale.
The Zetland Hotel, on Zetland Road, central Middlesbrough , is on the market after previous owners, Eddy and Maureen Smyth, stepped down from running the boozer in July last year.
The pub, famous for its original ornate features and floor-to-ceiling carvings , is listed on the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) website as a “pub with a nationally important historic interior”.
