Rising food prices will be 'lethal' for millions of struggling shoppers post-Brexit, the boss of Tesco has warned. 
Matt Davies, UK CEO of the retail giant, said that higher grocery bills would prove damaging to consumers, business and the economy.
Speaking at industry conference IGD yesterday, he said the market leader would do everything to ensure food inflation 'is kept to a minimum', noting that its prices had fallen 6 per cent in the last two years.
